Yesterday was Dan’s b-day (29 woo-hoo!) so I rented him a sweet wake board boat from Norris Wake. Dan’s BFFE Mike just happened to be in town for a few days for business so it was the perfect opportunity for us to take a day off and do something fun. Our super fun friends Potter and Stephanie met up with us too and aside from a looming thunderstorm it was a really fun day.

Monday night I spent the night in Sweetwater with my BFFE Lindsay. We went to our favorite girls spot Table 15 in Turkey Creek and then headed over to Boarders next door to read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn, by Stephanie Meyer, the fourth and final book in the Twilight series. This fourth book, Breaking Dawn, won’t be released until Aug 2 but we were able to get a sneak peek and read the first chapter which was recently published in the third book, Eclipse (and our old copies of Eclipse don’t have it).
Obviously we are both huge fans of the Twilight series if that’s what we’re doing on our big night out… So let me just say that if you want to make your summer even better you should start reading. I don’t even want to say what it’s about…. you don’t want anything to be ruined. Ok, one thing but it’s not a secret. It’s a book for young adults but almost every one of my twenty-something, ok early (very early) 30 something friends has read it. It’s super addictive… AND there is going to be a movie… the first of probably four and it comes out Dec.12 this year. It is Harry Potter(ish) in a way b/c it’s young adult and fantasy, and people are CRAZY about the series. Here is the movie trailer…but GET THE BOOK. I wouldn’t have wanted to read it after seeing this b/c it’s not my type but trust me. And, you can call me if you are having a heart attack after chapter 3 of the second book, which you will…

Yes, our site is a bit different! We decided to update it to better fit what we are doing, which has changed in focus since Dan and I both started working for ourselves almost 1 year ago. Well, he’s been doing it for about 3 years now. We are ALL ABOUT weddings mostly. We are still taking architecture clients and we still have www.danwatsonphotography.com for that purpose but Watson-Studios is both of us now, not just Natalie, except I’m still doing all the kids. So, I (Natalie) had to get rid of all the cute girly stuff in the Watson-Studios design since there’s a man in the house. No more pink logo. No more little sheep. No more notebook paper. But, this will only be the look of our site for the next two months, until mid August (hopefully sooner) because we hired (two days ago) this great Pheonix-based company, ITDR www.intothedarkroom.com, to design us a photo blog-site, which will be our main site…and we are super, SUPER excited!! We are going to get a whole new look that better matches our work and I can’t wait to see what they come up with. BUT, we are going to have to get better at blogging, so I’m practicing now 
So, it’s friday night and we are working tonight…well, we are going to. Dan is watching an Earl he recorded…we’re going to put up the new site and keep working on Jenna and Adam’s pictures…..sounds like fun, right? It is! We are totally in love what we do! We are so lucky to be able to work together, work from our house, sleep really late, work til 3 am if we want to, make our own schedules and take phone calls in our PJs. AND we always seem to get the coolest couples. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We had soo much fun this weekend at Jenna and Adam’s wedding. I just started working on their pics tonight and I’m super excited. They are an amazing couple with great friends and family and I’m soo happy for them. So, here are a few of my favs until their slideshow is ready…….

I’m writing another post, since I’m doing that now, to tell about this weekend that I’m sooo excited about!! We are going to Asheville, well Candler, which is about 20 mins outside Ash., to photograph Jenna and Adam’s wedding. Jenna is my friend from Banner Elk….Well, we knew each other there but only a little. We have kept in touch over the years from her and my good friends Lindsey, Erin and Emily. But I’ve gotten to know Jenna much better in the last few months since we’ve been talking so much about her wedding and SHE IS A JEM!! Such a sweetheart, and I’m so glad we have gotten to know each other better!! Her momma is a hoot too!…This is going to be such a fun weekend! I can’t wait!
